Visiting other Toastmaster’s Club meetings, taking part in District trainings and events, competing in or attending contests–all of these things are so much fun it almost seems a shame to give you an extra reward for doing it–but we will.
Following last year’s “Traveling Toastmaster” tradition, this year you will receive a “District 46 Special Edition Crank Light” when you’ve logged five visits outside of meetings of clubs of which you are a member.
This Crank Light embodies this year’s District message: “The important thing is to work the Toastmasters educational program.” You have to put your own effort into it. Whether you work slowly or quickly, you still turn the energy crank, and ultimately produce a light that shines on your achievement.
So head out to a fun event. Peruse the Special Events section of the District 46 website to see which clubs are planning fun and educational events. Review the Speakers Wanted listings to find out where you can visit and speak, and also to attract visiting speakers to your club.
