Thank you so much for the amazing conference! Your great team work and dedication made this conference a memorable experience for many our members and guests. This was a conference filled with great educational sessions, networking events, two exceptional district contests, Parade of Banners, Hall of Fame and outstanding educational sessions given by Dana LaMon.
Neerja: You were a truly inspiration for your team, supporting and motivating them from the start to finish. Thank you for leading your team and for ensuring that all our attendees will have a great time at the conference. And for finishing that conference on time at 9:35 pm!
Dorcia and Alex, our Facilities Chairs: Without your proper planning we would not run this conference so smoothly. Thank you for going over the scrip many times to ensure that we didn’t miss anything and that all events will run smoothly. Dorcia, please let your Dad know how thankful we are that he allowed you to work on Saturday. Alex, please thank your Dad for fixing our easel for the workshops so we don’t have to buy a new one.
Our Hospitality Chair Andreanette: Thank you for taking care of our “hungry” guests in the morning and throughout the day to ensure that nobody was starving. The food selection was great!
Rafay: Thank you for leading the Registration Committee and running the Registration Desk so efficient. Thank you for your constant updates on conference registrations and all your help that you provided to Neerja and me all the time.
Jennifer our Parade of Banners Chair: Thank you so much. This was one of the most organized Parades of Banners that I remember. Everyone in the line-up knew what to do next. So many members of our district were entering the Grand Ballroom with their club banner feeling proud to represent their clubs. That was a real celebration of our members and clubs!
Rafay, Derek and Jonathan: Thank you for helping to “assemble” the registration badges with so many pins and medals. It took us “some time” to attach all those pins and medals but the result was great. People were so proud wearing them at the conference. Thank you all again.
Gouri, Brain, Amy, and Tony: Thank you for being the voice of the conference and for motivating our members to attend this exceptional event. The registration numbers are talking for themselves. I don’t have the finalized numbers yet but right after the business meeting we had over 274 people checked-in for the full day pass, morning pass, and evening pass. I am not counting the number of people checking-in for the contests only.
Len and Carol: Thank you for promoting this conference to our members and corporations so they also can support us.
Our Education Chairs, Charnette and Beverly: Thank you for following up with our presenters to make sure that we can provide our attendees with great educational workshops. Charnette, thank you for taking care of printing all the certificates and flyers.
Jonathan our A/V coordinator: Thank you for making sure that all microphones, laptops, and projectors were in a good working condition and all our contestants didn’t have problems with their microphones while competing.
Chetan, our Social Media PR: Thank you for working on the beta app so our district members can use the latest technology to learn about district’s events and for your help with creating certificates.
Jennifer: What a great Raffle committee you run. Thank you for working with our members to receive wonderful items for the raffle and for generating cash through 50/50 raffle.
Jay, our Program Coordinator: Thank you for going after each of us and making sure that we provided you with needed information for the conference journal. We were not always responsive to you but you were able to get “through us” to deliver needed information in time.
Steve, Anna and Mary: Thank you for the editing work and for re-checking information in the journal more than one time so it looked professionally edited.
Lance: You did more than was asked of you. All the flyers that you created were professionally done. The conference journal is really a beautiful publication that was put together by you. Yes, we had to make corrections many times late at night and early in the morning but the published journal looks amazing.
Janet, our First Timers Chair: I would like to thank you for the orientation session that you prepared for our newcomers. I was happy to meet with new conference attendees who were asking for my signature on their questionnaire. That gave me an opportunity to meet so many our members in person and speak to them and that was great.
John and Brad: Thank you for interviewing our attendees and videotaping the conference. I am looking forward to see those videos. I already start receiving emails asking me about those videos.
Emmogene our Credential Chair: Thank you for ensuring that everyone got their ballots and we had the quorum at the business meeting.
Our Conference Photographer, Derek: Thank you for taking photographs of the attendees so everyone can share those great memories of the conference.
Diane: Thank you so much for inspirational quotes and beautiful arrangements of the fall leaves that you did as our Event Design Chair. Everything looked very lovely.
Lashaina: Thank you for creating a beautiful Hall of Fame brochure.
Christina: Thank you being an Award coordinator at conference and your help in presenting some awards and certificates.
Our district website designer Michael: Thank you for promoting all conference activities on the district website and for giving us some other excellent ideas for promotion.
Penelope our District Governor: Thank you for supporting the Fall Conference.
And last but not least, Ken, Kazuo, FX, Mark, Andy and John, our Contest Officials: Thank you for facilitating both contests and running Evaluation and Humorous Speech Contests on time. They were the highlights of the conference and everyone was looking toward them. Ken, thank you for selecting the judges (ensuring they are not from the same clubs as the contestants), timers, ballot counters, and SAA. Both contests were greatly organized.
I also would like to share with you that many people liked our Parade of new DTMs and Educational Recognition of members on stage. I saw so much pride and satisfaction in the eyes of our members being recognized on that day that that by itself was the biggest reward for the work that we all are doing for our district members.
This conference will not be possible without your hard work. Thank you all again for helping to make this conference such a beautiful event.
Warmest Regards,
Raisa Serebrenik, DTM, District 46 Lt. Governor Education & Training
