Fellow District 46 Toastmasters, congratulations! District 46 is officially DISTINGUISHED!

Thanks to every member in the district who contributed to our overall success.

According to some past leaders, this is the first time, in memory, that the district has been distinguished before June 30th. What an awesome team we are! Please share this information with your club members.

Here are the final numbers as of June 30th:

Total number of Distinguished Clubs: 113

47 Distinguished; 31 Select Distinguished and 35 President’s Distinguished

Total # of Distinguished Divisions: 7 out of 10

5 of 10 were President’s Distinguished Divisions

New clubs chartered: 27

We ended the year with 251 Clubs thus exceeding our goal of 244 by 7. Active clubs to date: 258

Membership payments:  12,644

Thanks to Radhi and to our co-operative club officers and members, we surpassed our goal of 11,417 by 1227.

CCs: 452/391

ACs: 145/111

34 over goal

We are 16th in the world in terms of points (out of 78 districts), and

14th in the world of Distinguished Districts.

Worldwide:  49 districts were distinguished by June 30th, 2007. That’s the highest number in 30 years when 47 districts were distinguished.

Thanks again for your contributions to the success of our members, areas, divisions and to the district and most of all, for taking the time to work towards your own goals. I am most proud of our members’ personal achievements this past year. You have, collectively, laid a firm foundation for the incoming Top 5 to build upon in 2007-2008.
Let us continue to Speak to Enlighten, Lead to Empower and duplicate our success in 2007-2008.

Well Done Everyone. I feel honored and privileged to have been your Distinguished District 46 Governor in 2006-07. That’s right. TI suggests that we use ‘Distinguished District in 2006-07’ on all our letterheads, business cards, stationery, etc. going forward.
