2007-2008 District 46 Website Contest
$100, $50, $25 Prizes for Conventional and Free Toast Host Websites
Congratulations to the following clubs. Each club will receive a $25 TI Gift Certificate, to be presented at the Spring Conference Awards Breakfast, Sunday, May 18th.
Eligibility
- All District 46 Clubs in good standing are eligible.
- Contest judging for first, second and third prizes requires website availability via public connection to the Internet.
- Bonus Awards for New and Revised websites DO NOT require availability via public connection to the Internet.
- Because of privacy issues, access to certain features may be restricted to members only. If so and the Club still desires scoring credit, member-area access must be provided to the judges. Email webmaster for specifics.
Contest Term
- Entry deadline: March 31, 2008
- Website completion deadline: March 31, 2008
- Websites must remain on-line and operational through June 30, 2008.
- Clubs must update their club information on the Toastmasters International website to indicate their new or revised website address by March 31, 2008.
Contest Scoring
Review Detailed Contest Scoring
- Free Toast Host websites will be scored separately from Conventional (non-FTH) websites.
- A first, second and third place winner for each category will be determined by ranking the total scores assigned to the websites in each category.
- Points will be awarded for each feature included on the website.
- Some items will have a point range, the quality of the feature’s implementation determining the number of points awarded.
- With the exception of Style Points (see Detail Contest Scoring) and the quality scoring noted above, points are awarded objectively i.e., the feature exists or it does not.
Contest Entry Form
The contest closed to new entries April 1, 2008.
- Entry is required to be eligible for Contest Judging, New Website or Revised Website awards.
- Clubs may be contacted by the District Webmaster. Contact listed on entry form must be available.
Prizes
- All entrants receive website design tips and individual support from District webmaster from date of entry through site completion.
- First, Second and Third prize winners may display the District 46 “2007-2008 District Website Contest Winner” logo on their website.
- First, Second and Third Prizes are gift certificates for purchases from the TI catalog.
- First Prize – $100 gift certificate
- Second Prize – $50 gift certificate
- Third Prize – $25 gift certificate
- All new and redesigned club websites will receive a $25 gift certificate for purchases from the TI catalog.
Bonus Award for New Websites
- To be eligible for the “New Website” bonus award, your site must not have been live before June 30, 2007.
- Corporate or private websites inaccessible from the internet ARE ELIGIBLE for this award, but not for the contest.
- Entry into the contest is required to be eligible for this award.
- Award is a $25 gift certificate for purchases from the TI catalog.
Bonus Award for Revised Websites
- The revised site must contain additional functionality designed to serve your membership.
- To be eligible for the “Revised Website” bonus award, your site must have been live before July 1, 2007.
- New websites are not eligible for this award.
- Corporate or private websites inaccessible from the internet ARE ELIGIBLE for this award, but not for the contest.
- To be eligible for the “revised website” bonus award, you must submit screen captures of your existing website BEFORE revisions are made.
- Send all screen captures to the District 46 Webmaster.
- Entry into the contest is required to be eligible for this award.
- Award is a $25 gift certificate for purchases from the TI catalog.
Contest Judging
- A committee of impartial District representatives will judge the Website Contest.
- All decisions are final.
- First, Second and Third place Awards will be presented at the District 46 Spring Conference in May 2008.
